To date, Tracker has calculated Placement values using Margin calculations whereas some client work on a Mark-Up basis.
We now offer the ability to set this calculation method at both the System level (within Placement Settings):
and at the individual Job level (within the Job record):
This means users can choose the use the system default or override the calculation as required.
Changing the calculation method will change the terminology used throughout the Placement records within that Job and adjust how the margin calculations are formulated, especially when using tools like Rate Seek:
This will ultimately impact the Margin / Mark-Up calculated within the Placement record's financials section:
