Company Status is a single select field that can be used as a way to track the lifecycle of your company record status changes. For example, you may have a company marked as a "Prospect" and would then like to track the lifecycle of how long it took for that record to go from being a prospect to a client.
Company Status works a bit differently than our Company Type field option. Read more about that here.
1. Under Tools & Settings, open Company Settings
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter in your Company Status'
3. Go back into Tools & Settings and open the Layout Designer, as we'll need to add Company Lifecycle to our layout
4. Under the Company record screen, drag "Company Lifecycle" into your Current Layout
5. Open a Company record to view your changes. Company Status will appear under "Company Type" in the Company Details block. Keep in mind, you must add those statuses in first in order to see this field appear in your records.
6. You can also view the Company Lifecycle now that you have added that to your layout. This information can be reported on using the report view: Company Lifecycle
