How Tracker integrates with Ropes
Last updated 3 days ago
The Ropes - Tracker integration lets teams use Ropes directly inside Tracker. You can trigger and manage Ropes technical assessments, video screenings, and Scout fraud checks without leaving your normal Tracker workflow.
What you can do with the integration
- Open the Ropes portal from Tracker candidate, placement, and job records.
- Create or manage Ropes assessments tied to a job.
- Review Ropes Assessment and Scout results from Tracker.
- Automatically write result links, scores, integrity risk ratings, completion times, and Scout summaries back into Tracker fields.
- Automatically update Tracker placement statuses when assessments are completed or expired.
Open Ropes from a candidate record
On a candidate record, click Show Action Menu. From there, you can open the Ropes portal and view Ropes Scout and assessment results for that candidate.
Open Ropes from a job record
On a job record, click Show Action Menu to open the Ropes portal for that job. This is where you can create custom problems based on the job details.
Ropes will read the information in the Job Profile section of the Tracker job record and use it to help generate a relevant assessment.
What happens after a candidate completes an assessment
When a candidate completes an assessment, Ropes writes the key results back into Tracker.
Ropes can update the placement record and candidate record with:
- Result link
- Score
- Integrity risk rating
- Completion timestamp
- Results PDF attached to the candidate profile
The placement status also advances to Ropes Assessment Completed.
What happens if an assessment expires
If a candidate’s assessment link expires before they complete it, Ropes automatically updates the placement status in Tracker to Ropes Assessment Expired.
How Scout checks work
When a candidate is added to a shortlist and a placement record is created, Ropes automatically queues a Scout check.
Once Scout is complete, Ropes writes the results back to both:
- The candidate record, also called the Resource in Tracker.
- The placement record, also called the OpportunityResource in Tracker.
Scout results can include a risk rating and summary.
Customizing the integration
Your Tracker integration can be customized for your team’s workflow. For example, you can request changes to:
- Problem creation inputs
- UI layouts
- Field IDs and field mappings
- Notifications for specific events
- Workflow status updates
To discuss customizations, contact your Ropes account manager.
Troubleshooting
- If Ropes is not visible in Tracker, confirm that the integration has been enabled in your Tracker settings.
- If automation is not triggering, confirm the configured Tracker status or stage exactly matches the agreed workflow.
- If fields are not updating, contact Ropes support to verify the field mapping.
