A common route into Dynamic Rates is via creating a New Shift Job.
When setting up a new Shift Job, you can select a Dynamic Rate Set either one linked directly to the client, or a general Rule Set that isn't tied to any specific client.
Note: the Shift Job must be set to Hourly — Dynamic Rates currently only work with hourly rates.
When creating the Shift Job, ensure the pay type is set to Hourly, then select the Dynamic Rate Set to apply. Because the rate rule is set at the point the shift is created, there's no further action needed afterwards — candidates can go straight into booking time.
What Happens When You Select a Rate Set
Selecting a Dynamic Rate Set at Shift Job level:

Cascades down to every Placement created within that Job - it can still be changed on an individual Placement afterwards, if needed

Replaces the usual default Tasks on the Assignment record with Dynamic Rate Tasks

Carries through automatically if candidates are auto-assigned and confirmed at that point
