Help Topic: Dynamic Rate Timesheets

Dynamic Rate timesheets work like normal timesheets, with one key difference: regardless of how many Rate Rules exist in the Rule Set, only a single line appears on the timesheet.

This is because all Tracker needs from the candidate to apply Dynamic Rates correctly is:

  • The start time for the day/shift

  • The end time for the day/shift

  • The total hours worked for the day/shift

The candidate's time-entry experience is the same as for a standard Clock In/Out task.

Once added, they’ll see just one entry per day.

When the timesheet is saved, Tracker breaks the entered time out behind the scenes into the appropriate Dynamic Rate Tasks based on the configured rules.

If a timesheet is edited later, the candidate still only sees and updates the single line - on save, the new time entry is broken out into the Dynamic Rate Tasks again automatically.

A couple of practical notes:

  • Once a Dynamic Rate Set has been applied to a placement, it can't be changed after a timesheet has been submitted against it.

  • Time allocations that span two calendar days will show a tooltip clarifying how that time has been split.
