Multi-Language Support lets administrators add translations for naming conventions, custom field labels, and layout tab names, and lets users choose to see those translations throughout Tracker.
Your database must be configured for multi-language support before any of the options below appear. If you don't see them, contact your Tracker representative.
Naming Conventions
Naming Conventions allow you to rename various parts of Tracker into your vernacular for multiple languages. For these you can add both singular and plural versions of the terms you would like to use.
To set these up go to Tools & Settings > Customisation > Display Settings.
Here, you’ll see tabs for each available language, sitting just above the naming conventions grid.
Click into the tab relevant for your required Translations. You may find some fields pre-loaded with translations, and you can add or change as required. Remember to Save your Settings.
Custom Fields
A Translations section in the Custom Field modal lets you set an available language label for any custom field.
Access custom fields via: Tools & Settings > Customisation > Custom Fields.
This is available when editing or creating a new Custom Field.
There will be a row for each language configured on your database, showing the language code and an option to either type in the translation, or use the AI generate option.
Fields with a translation saved show a green language coded badge in the Custom Fields grid.
Layout Designer
The same Translations section is now available on record tabs in Layout Designer, so tab names can be translated too. Translated tabs will be flagged with a green "FR" badge in the tab list.
Access Layout Designer via: Tools & Settings > Customisation > Layout Designer.
Simply hover over the tab you wish to rename, this will give the pencil Edit icon, click on this. Either type in the translation, or use the AI generate option.
Setting a Users Start Up Language
If required, you can set a users Start Up Language for them via Tools & Settings >Users > Users. Select the relevant user from the drop down list.
Under the View Preferences area, you can select their Start Up Language.
