Help Topic: Making Custom Fields Mandatory


This lesson explains how to make custom fields a mandatory field within a record.                       

                         



1. I want to make Excel Experience a mandatory field. This will require users to fill it out before saving the record (view this lesson on the options for mandatory fields) and it will highlight the field in red.

2. Click on your name to access Tools & Settings.

3. Click "Tools & Settings"

4. Click "Get started" on the Custom Fields box.

5. Select the "Candidate" option.

6. Click "Excel Experience"

7. Click Mandatory.

8. Click "Ok"

9. Click "Save Settings"

10. You can see the field is now highlighted in red, as a reminder to users to complete it.

11. Click "Save Only"

12. Click "OK"
