This lesson explains how to use Products & Services within TrackerRMS.
Products and Services
Products and Services can be created in your system so that you can add them against a Job/Opportunity and Invoices. Having a list of Products to select from makes it easier for your employees to put together a Quote and or Invoice and ensures that the correct codes, values, and currencies are included.
To edit what is already listed, or to delete, click into the relevant row and make your changes, or click delete.
To add a new Product Group, use the Green Plus Icon and enter the new Group Name, or to edit a Group Name, click the Blue Pencil Icon (shown below)
To create a new Product, click the Green 'Product' button to the right of the screen
Product Details
- Select a Product Group from the dropdown
- Add your Product Name
- If you have multiple Territories in your system, you may select the one which is relevant for this Product
- Create a Code for this product, perhaps a 3 letter abbreviation of the Product Name
- If you also need a Sub- Code, add this here
- Select the relevant Currency for where this Product is going to be used
Product Pricing & Revenue Profile
- Enter the Unit Cost
- If the Unit Cost and Unit Value are different, add the Unit Value here
- Add the appropriate Tax Rate for the Product
- If the Product is to be charged for on a monthly basis, select the number of months for the length of the contract in the Split Revenue dropdown
