Help Topic: Handling "No Shows"

Please note that Shift Management is not available for the the Starter Package

"No Shows" are where the Candiate is either unable to attend or does not show up for their Shift.

This can be triggered in a number of ways:

  • The Candidate taps the "CANNOT ATTEND" button in the App
  • The Client flags the Candidate as a "No Show" on the Client Portal
  • A user in Tracker flags the Candidate as a "No Show" based on communication with the Candidate

Candidate App

Candidate's can manage the shift for the day and select the "CANNOT ATTEND" button to instantly tell the Tracker team that they are unable to attend.  This will update the status in the Shift Planner, the Shift Dashboard and send a message.  See the Shift Dashboard course for more information on reviewing "No Shows" and messages.

Client Portal

If the Client is viewing the Daily Roster and checking in Candidates, they can also flag the No Show directly:

Via the Shift Planner

Tracker Users can flag a "No Show" in the Shift Planner.  This should be kept in the Planner as a "No Show" and not removed as this provides Tracker with the audit history for this Candidate and assists the ranking of the "Merit Score" or reliability of the Candidate when assigning this Candidate in future.  The Shift will allow for additional back-fill Candidates to be added to the same Shift Day in the Planner to sit alongside "No Show"s.

Via the Shift Dashboard

The Shift Dashboard shows a list of all runners with their check in and out options available.  There is a "No Show" icon to the right of each Candidate in the list where "No Shows" can also be flagged:
